Barry Liebowitz Testimonials

Dear Barry,

I wanted to formally tell you that I have accepted to attend FSU. I am extremely excited about this decision and feel at peace with it. I believe everything worked out the way it was supposed to! I extend my greatest thanks to you, for all your help and investment of your time in helping me apply and find the right school for me. I am most excited to see familiar faces on campus, join chi alpha fellowship, younglife, and studying abroad! I may even join the riding at some point.

I know that the process of putting together a list of schools, touring them, applying, writing essays, and finally making a decision would not have been nearly as easy without your help. You challenged me to push myself and pursue opportunities in high school that I really would not have done without your confidence. Opportunities such as interning, going to summer camps at UF, and taking on leadership opportunities at school. I have grown most when pushing myself outside of my comfort zone in high school and have truly become more independent. It was truly a blessing to have someone guiding me throughout this process. I am so appreciative of your immense help! I plan to stay in touch and keep you updated on my college experience. If any of your future clients have any questions about college life at FSU, do not hesitate to reach out. You made the daunting college process throughout my junior and senior year a pleasant one. Once again, thank you for all your help.

Sincerely,

Laura, Class of 2019

Barry,

Jake said something to me yesterday and I want to tell you.  He said Mom, if it was not for Barry, I don’t think I would have gotten into college especially Miami.  So thank you!  I’m am so glad that I hired you.  Beside being his college counselor, you became a friend and mentor to Jake.

Shari

Barry,

When I entered your office almost a year and a half ago, I thought I had it all planned out. I knew what school I wanted to go to, what area I wanted to major in, and what I wanted to do for a career. I thought it was as simple as applying to the school and paying my dues. But after the first conversation I had with you in your office, I knew that it was going to take a lot more work and time than what I had originally thought. But I wasn’t scared because I knew that you would provide a strong support system and be there for me when I needed you. Having seen the list of students that you work with every year, I understand that you are always busy either meeting with a student or working on essays. First, I appreciate the work you put into improving my essays – I like to think that I have become a better writer from watching you. Second, I really appreciate that whenever I sent you an essay, you worked so fast with what time you had to get it done and have it sent back to me; this especially includes the time when you were on vacation and had someone in the office send me an essay. I’m not sure where I would have ended up without your help. I owe part of my future to you and I hope I make you proud.

Thank you,

Benjamin, Class of 2017

I can’t say enough about BARRY LIEBOWITZ and his team at ICC! He was there for my twins 24/7! Barry never doubted them and was always a phone call away when there was an urgent need at 11pm at night! He made the entire process an enjoyable one and my kids were always so thrilled to see him. Both of my kids got into their dream schools with the guidance of ICC’s amazing staff! If you are looking for a college advisor I would not go anywhere else! GO DORES AND HOOK em’ HORNS!

Kathy

Barry,

It’s been a privilege for me to have worked with you. Your contributions have been extraordinary and incalculable. Your effectiveness was truly a blessing as the process for kids to get into college in today’s world has so many ups and downs.

Funny how I heard about you when I was working in Washington DC and then had our first meeting in Boca Raton Florida/I knew after that meeting and told my daughter you were the right partner for this arduous task.  Boy was I right!

You always pointed us in the right direction
Always had time to meet
Always had time for all my phone calls
Always had the correct insight
Always paid attention to the small details

Every step along the way was improved with you by our side….We were smarter because of you.

You made my daughters goals achievable and her journey rich with advice. She starts a new chapter in her life as she’s been accepted to the school she wanted to go to…!!!!  This is a special celebration that would not have happened with out you. It’s been a pleasure working with you.  I am eternally grateful for everything you’ve done for my daughter

THANK YOU!

Congratulations to a job well done!

Michael

Barry,

Thank you so much. I am so happy he was accepted to Cornell and Penn! I think Penn is a better fit for Ryan. He is thinking now of majoring in economics or finance and how nice it is to take classes in Wharton. I want to thank you mostlyfor your countless hours editing Ryan’s essays!  I really feel Ryan would never have made it into these prestigious schools without your help. I will always recommend you and your company very highly.

Best Regards,

Elizabeth

Dear Barry,

My parents embarked on a mission to find the best college counselor for me, and they succeeded. You promised to keep me organized and focused during my college selection, and to be realistic and smart about where you would encourage me to apply. You were always the first to know when any of my ACT or SAT scores came out, always proud of my good grades and accomplishments, and had become my biggest fan and motivator in the sometimes distressing college application and selection process.

Application season came without any stress, because I was organized, had a timetable, and had a strategy that you and I had thought up together during our numerous meetings. You were always there for me, no matter the time or means of communication, and I always knew that I could shoot you a question and you would reply thoroughly and promptly. Your presence in my life during what can be a very stressful time helped keep me confident, organized, and excited about the future, as opposed to nervous and anxious about falling behind. I was admitted to some schools and not admitted to others, as you know, but I know that my list of schools was well planned, reasonable, and most importantly, were all good fits for me. Your positivity, charisma, and humor kept the application season stress-free, and you were right there cheering for me with every single acceptance I received.

I just finished my first year in the Honors College at the University of Michigan (which you encouraged me to apply to!), and could not be happier. I appreciate everything that you and the rest of the International College Counselors team did to help me get to where I am, and look forward to working with you for years to come, wherever my academic pursuits take me.

Thank you again for everything you have done, and for encouraging me to be the best applicant, as well as person, I could be. I couldn’t have done it without you!

Barry,

Thank you for all your help. I am and have been delighted that YOU were the right person to work with my son. It really made it easy from our perspective, and it was a great relief and privilege not only to have your expertise, but your passion and dedication as well. We will most certainly be referring you to friends.
