What We Do

Bright World Tutors delivers expert, tailored instruction across a wide range of academic needs, including:

  • Core academic subject support
  • AP and IB coursework
  • Standardized test preparation (PSAT, SAT, ACT)

Through individualized guidance, we help students build confidence, deepen mastery, and develop the curiosity and resilience needed to reach their highest potential.

Recommended Test Prep Timeline for the Class of 2027

SAT Test Dates:

  • March 14
  • May 2
  • June 6

ACT Test Dates:

  • February 14
  • April 11
  • June 13
  • July 11 (NY excluded)

For students targeting the February/March ACT or the March SAT, we recommend beginning tutoring in December or January.

AP Exam Timeline

AP Exams will be held May 4–15.

We recommend beginning course support and AP exam preparation in February, with the option to intensify support in March as exams approach.

IB Exam Timeline

IB Exams will be held April 24–May 20.

We recommend beginning course support and IB exam preparation in January, with the option to intensify support in March as exams approach.

Aimee Heller serves as the Director of Communications for International College Counselors and the Chief Operating Officer of Edit the Work. She is an award-winning advertising copywriter who knows how to best showcase a student’s unique achievements, personality and passion in 650 words or less (or more if the essay requirements specify). For 25 years, she worked in New York on a number of accounts including Coca-Cola, IKEA, The History Channel and Moët & Chandon. She also wrote for major news outlets including CBS and The Miami Herald. Aimee graduated cum laude from Boston University with a Bachelors of Arts degree in communications and has a Master’s degree in education from City College of New York. She has worked with students in high schools and boarding schools throughout the United States, helping them attain stellar results with colleges, graduate schools, summer programs and scholarships.
