Coming Soon: Changes to the 2011-12 Common Application

The Common Application announced changes to its standardized admission form. The 2011-12 version of the Common Application includes new questions about marital status and children, and an optional question about military status. The new version, which will go live on August 1, also asks for more-detailed information about language proficiency and prior college-level coursework. Miami Dade College is offering free school for all Miami-Dade public and private school students with a 3.0 GPA or Higher. Any student with a diploma, whether the student attended a private, public or charter school in Miami-Dade, or was home-schooled can apply for the scholarship.

2011 International College Counselors Scholarship

Every year, International College Counselors asks students in grade 9-12 to enter the continuing annual scholarship competition. Students from Dade, Broward, Palm Beach counties and elsewhere are invited to submit an essay that answers a question that can be found with the rules and submission information on the International College Counselors website.
