FAFSA To Be Required for Florida Bright Futures effective July 1

Starting July 1, a completed FAFSA will be required from all students applying for and/or receiving a Bright Futures scholarship. This new law, applies to incoming freshman as well as students renewing their Bright Futures scholarships. Students who do NOT submit a FAFSA application will not receive their Bright Futures Scholarship money this fall.

FAFSA Deadline is Fast Approaching – Apply Now

Don’t miss the February 1 deadline for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). While June 30 is the government deadline, Feb 1 is the deadline for many schools if a student wants to be eligible for a merit scholarship and other scholarships. International College Counselors strongly recommends that every student fill out the FAFSA regardless of income. Students and their families should not wait until the last minute to fill out FAFSA, says International College Counselors. It is a long form with many questions that need documents to help answer them.
