Tougher standards proposed for Bright Futures Scholarship

Miami college counselors report on the Bright Futures Scholarship and the legislation being reviewed by the Florida Senate budget committee. Changes will make the scholarships harder for students to get and keep whether they go to school in St. Augustine or Miami. College counselors list the changes being considered.

Florida Bright Futures Scholarship – Apply Now

Applications are now being accepted for the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship program. The International College Counselors recommend that students apply for the The Bright Futures scholarship even if they have no immediate plans to go to college. The Florida Bright Futures Scholarship program offers scholarship awards of three different levels – the Florida Academic Scholars award, the Florida Medallion Scholars award and the Florida Gold Seal Vocational Scholars award.
