2018: A Banner Year for ICC

Happy Holidays!

First and foremost, we’d like to congratulate our amazing 2019 seniors.  So far there have been exciting early acceptances to schools including Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, University of Pennsylvania, Princeton, Yale, MIT, Caltech, Northwestern, University of Chicago, Notre Dame, Vanderbilt, Michigan, Rice, Emory, GW, Babson, NYU, Tulane, UM, Northeastern, Wisconsin, Johns Hopkins, Indiana, and several others. We are incredibly proud of our students for their hard work! We look forward to hearing about upcoming acceptances as the colleges announce them.  

For all of our ICC students who have not yet finished the admissions process, please be assured that your International College Counselors advisor will remain with you and your family until you are happily settled into a wonderful school. We believe in each of you!

We also wanted to share some exciting company news from 2018.  Recognizing that our collective expertise, international exposure, and institutional knowledge generate a huge advantage for all our families, we will continue to add resources, products, and partnerships in order to best serve you.

  1. We worked with over 500 high school students this year who hailed from numerous private and public schools all over Florida, as well as from 18 other states and 17 countries spanning across five continents. We also helped graduate school students and transfer students with the college admissions process. 
  2. Our Class of 2018 seniors received offers of admission to 259 different colleges and universities, including all the Ivy League schools and Stanford as well as multiple acceptances to schools including: Yale, Columbia, & University of Chicago (4 students each), Dartmouth & MIT (3 students each), University of Pennsylvania (11 students), Cornell (9 students), Washington University in St. Louis & Babson (14 students each), UVA (8 students), Vanderbilt & Duke (5 students each), Tufts (6 students), George Washington (15 students), Northwestern (7 students), University of Florida (48 students), Indiana University (32 students), University of Michigan (28 students), Tulane (20 students), NYU & Boston University (21 students each), University of Miami (57 students), Northeastern (30 students), FSU (38 students), and Syracuse (13 students). Click here for our complete results listing. We also continued our boarding school and graduate school services with stellar results to numerous prestigious institutions.
  3. Our ICC team has grown to 15 full-time employees, including 12 college advisors. We welcomed three new Directors of College Advising to our team: Andrea Rubin Graziano, an award-winning journalist and Columbia University grad, who works out of Connecticut and serves the NY, NJ, CT tri-state area; Donna Barron-Willey, a tenured international admissions advisor who also brings a wealth of knowledge about music in college admissions and who works out of the new Wellington office; and Andy Greenspan, a former Columbia University alumni interviewer and an award-winning journalist who works in the Palm Beach area. We are thrilled to have them all on our team!  
  4. We opened up three new offices: Westport, CT, Wellington, FL, and Weston, FL, which now join our other offices in Ft. Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Miami Beach, West Palm Beach, and Coral Gables. We continue to also serve families around the country and world via phone, text, and video conferencing.
  5. Around our community, ICC college advisors held over 55 free seminarspresentations, and webinars at high schools and middle schools, religious groups, businesses, tutoring centers, leadership groups and other organizations. We honored two students with scholarships through the International College Counselors Scholarship. And we sponsored numerous high schools and organizations through gift donations and other pro bono work. 
  6. For students and professionals, our sister company, Edit the Work, provided professional editing and proofreading helpon college and high school essays as well as resume review. 
  7. For families who have students trying to get into private middle and high schools, we continued to offer the SSAT Flex Testat our Ft. Lauderdale office as ICC is an approved SSAT Flex Testing Center.
